This beautiful antelope is threatened in its native Africa from poaching.   It is doing beautifully in West Texas and can be maintained behind a typical sheep and goat fence.  The Scimitar Horned Oryx  have done well grazing with cattle.   They seem to keep dogs at bay.  They are an excellent meat and beautiful trophy.  The females have horns as well as the males.
